My name is Christine, and I have been a coeliac for over 40 years, so I know quite a bit about the gluten free diet and how it has changed over the years.
It used to be bread in tins, cardboard biscuits and, if you asked what was for pudding, you usually got the answer – a fruit salad!
Well, things have changed, and now there are many more manufacturers producing gluten free products that we can all eat and enjoy.
How I started Christine's Puddings…
In October 2007 Giles from Olives Et Al in Sturminster Newton decided to hold his first Food Fest and asked me if I would like to have a stand.
I wasn’t making products at the time and I didn't know what I was supposed to sell? “How about that Christmas Pudding of yours?” said Giles. I made 70 and they flew off the stand!
That was the beginning, and now my range has grown and includes several other delicious products – and they are still all gluten-free!
I mainly sell at Food Events but I also have an online shop selling my Christmas Puddings later in the year.
All my products are made in my Pudding Room overlooking the beautiful Blackmore Vale and River Stour – in deepest darkest delicious Dorset!
